A personal project I am currently working on outside of University based around the concept of freedom, points of view, and opinions.
The concept is simple - I mailed a disposable camera and covering letter out to a complete stranger, who by way of letter, was asked to take one photograph on the camera of something he/she considered beautiful.
They were then requested to send it on to someone else, who then had to do the same thing, and so on.
The person who takes the final photograph on the camera is requested in the covering letter to then return the package to the return address, where I can then get the film developed and see what gems lie on it.
I'm really looking forward to seeing what I get back, and it will be very interesting to see just what different people consider 'beautiful'.
I will keep you updated on the results as and when I get them back.
In the meantime, I have a second disposable camera which I am thinking of handing out to someone when I go to New York next week, to see if they will do the same thing. I just need a subject matter for this one. So any suggestions are welcome!

Little fish in the big apple..
Not long now until the big fly-over the New York to have a gander at all they have to offer in advertising out there. I actually can't wait!
I'm hoping this will be as beneficial and as productive as I'm convincing myself it will be, but then I guess it's what you make of it.. BRING IT ON!
Checklist:
[x] Business cards
[x] Spending money
[x] Directions and addresses to favourite shops
all i'll need.. haha!

10 Strategies
So as part of our portfolio hand-in last week, we were asked to come up with 10 products/business/services, and come up with a strategy for each one. I quite liked this actually.. It became easier the less I tried to think about it.. haha funny enough!

2-Argos: Keeping Wives and Girlfriends Smitten
3-Stablio Pens: Paper's Worst Nightmare
4- Durex: Go Nuts
5-Airwick: Guests Never Need To Know
6-Dairylea: It's Definately Not Good For You
7-Sharpie Markers: Leave A Lasting Impression
8-Toys 'R' Us: You're Never Too Old
9-Tesco Home Delivery: Helping You Spend More
10-Wonderbra: From Egg Cups To Jugs

This is Me

Hardworking
Creative
And I need a job.
(Guess honesty is one of my traits too).
I also have Dyscalculia - which in a nutshell means I can't count. Google it, it's real!
But what I lack in numbers and the understanding of quantum physics, I make up for in kick ass ideas and drive, so I guess it's not all bad.

Jailbreak
So as part of a charity fundraiser for the Meningitus Trust, our student union held a big event called Jailbreak. By where each team (10 in total) had 48 hours to get as far away from the university as possible, without spending a penny on transport.
The outcomes were pretty amazing! With the winning team getting all the way to Tel Avive! How they managed that is beyond me!
My group managed to make it all the way from High Wycombe, Bucks - to Aberdeen! So I was more than happy with that.
Just shows how easily it can be done though, gotta love British rail services!

Return to Sender
Firstly.. BRILLIANT project! Top marks to Julie for setting us this.. got me right back into the swing of things.
We had to send out as many postcards as we liked, but the catch was they had to be returned to us, without us actually including the return address on it. We had to think of visual ways of conveying the address.
Below are some of the examples I did.. So far i've had 2 back.
